BIOGRAPHY
With more than 30 years of appellate experience, Misti Zaruches Barnett provides clients with strategic consulting and experienced legal writing, research and litigation support services in state and federal court at both the trial and appellate level.
She covers a wide range of practice areas including but not limited to business, commercial, employment, medical malpractice, personal injury, and family law. Misti has experience in all facets of litigation from the inception of a lawsuit through the appellate process including drafting complaints, dispositive motions, trial memoranda, jury instructions, post-trial motions, appellate briefing and appellate motions practice.

She earned her juris doctor at Brooklyn Law School and graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Albany. In addition to years of experience in private practice, Misti served as Career Staff Attorney to the late Honorable George A. Shahood at the Fourth District Court of Appeal for over a decade. She began her career as a trial court law clerk to various Circuit Court judges at the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Court in Broward County, Florida, in civil, criminal and family court divisions.
Misti is admitted to practice in Florida, New York, and Connecticut, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
